 THE SOUTHWARK TEMPLATE
WEB-EVENT-TV

This summarises our definition of what constitutes community media.

We live in a multimedia environment in which radio, TV - in its own linear guise, websites and even local events such as film screenings exhibiting locally made work, can come together in a powerful composite that underpins both individual and communal growth.

The borough of Southwark contains a dense ethnic spectrum of nationality, faith and culture. Our own Southwark.TV multimedia website itself holds occasional events - such as Southwark.TV film screenings and the Southwark.TV Festival of Film & Photography which in 2006 was in aid of local mental health groups.

We produced TV programmes broadcast on the Community Channel and are planning more.

With our possible addition of an IPTV platform, Southwark.TV will be making definite impact on the delivery of locally produced media through people's TVs.
